There is a previous owner's name and address in pen on the inside cover

At some time in the past the keepers for the top strap and the leather hinge have been secured with studs not stitching ( see images )The girth strap is attached so that the flask will sit on the near-side of the saddle

Both spurs have metal fatigue cracks on the inside of the heel bands (please see images )

Antique Callow & Son Leather Hunting Whip or Crop - w1739 may24 This tool was used toThis whip has an antler or staghorn handle. There is a silver button on the heel of the staghorn which is stamped " Callow & Son, Park Lane, London". This stamp dates the whip to between 1852 and 1925. It has a silver plated collar, there are a few dents and dings in the collar & some rubbing of the plating. There are no stamps or engravings. The shaft or stock is covered in brown leather with a finely stitched seam. There is a scuff to the leather
